Sunset horse riding tours operate daily subject to weather conditions. Tours commence approximately 1 hr prior to sunset time and include a safety brief, and short riding lesson prior to departure.
Our sunset horse riding adventure is unique to Cairns and also one of our most popular tours. The tour is approximately 2 hours duration, and is a guided trek to our signature mountain-top lookout point with an arrival just intime to rendevous with the sun setting over the western valley, and displaying amazing red and orange tinted skies as daylight slowly dissappears.
The journey continues with helmet lights switched on, and the tour becomes a nocturnal frenzy as we venture into darkness along more amazing rainforst trails and water crossings.
Most tours will encounter bandicoots, possums, and nocturnal birdlife. Some of the trails are known to home glow worms, and also fire flies.
Upon return back at base, you'll be welcomed by a stoked up campfire as you dissmount from your trusty horse. Relax under the stars as we serve up authentic Australian Damper cooked in the fire along with Billy Tea. Marshmallows for roasting are also provided.
Riding groups are generally allocated to operate at a maximum of 6 riders per group to ensure tours are kept small and personalised, and more enjoyable for you.
We cater for all riding abilities from beginners to experienced, and also offer private tour options for those that would like that extra personalised or romantic touch (see below).

Our couple's sunset tour is a very personalised and unique romantic tour for two for couples wanting an exclusive and private sunset tour accompanied by their very own tour guide. This tour includes one of the following post tour options complemented with choice of beer wine or sparkling champagne served beside your very own campfire.
Option 1: Tropical fruits & cheese platter for two
Consisting of fresh local produce and iconic tropical fruits alongside an assortment of popular cheeses and crackers. The very filling platter will definately hit the spot!
Option 2: Decadent Chocolate fondue, and tropical fruits for two
Indulge in our very rich, and creamy chocolate sauce, served with an assortment of
seasonal tropical fruits such as strwberries, banana, grapes, mango, kiwi and more.
We won't forget the marshmallows here!
Tours
are inclusive of courtesy accommodation transfers and applicable levies. Prices are are also inclusive of GST and valid until March 31, 2011
Please note: Pickup times for this tour vary throughout the year, and is based on daily sunset times.
Your pickup time will be advised upon receiving a booking confirmation, however we suggest that most pickups are approximately 2 hours prior to sunset, and return to your accommodation is usually 4.5 - 5hrs later.
