As a condition of your booking you accept that Billabong Horseback Adventures will accept no liability for any loss or occurance relating to your booking whether being a direct or indirect consequence of making your booking, and that your booking is subject to these terms and conditions.


Horse Riding Tours:

1. Pre booking of tours is essential. Pre payment of your tour is required to confirm your booking. Bookings can be made via telephone, online using our secure online booking facility or through any local tour booking agency. Bookings are accepted subject to availability. Tours operate only where there are a minimum of 2 guests participating, except on private tours where a single passenger is catered for.

2. Customers choosing to cancel a confirmed booking may be provided with a full refund provided that a minimum of 48hrs notification is provided. Nil refund will be offered for cancellations made within a 24hr period of your tour. 50% refund applies for cancellations within 48hrs. Customers who have booked their tour through a tour agency may be subject to other cancellation fees beyond control of Billabong Horseback Adventures. It is the responsibility of the customer to ask about cancellation charges of thier booking agent prior to making a booking. Tours involving helicopter flights are non refundable if cancelled once confimed. Any bookings made via our online booking facility (which is hosted by Tours to Go) may also be subject to a 5% cancellation fee retained by Tours to Go. Refunds processed electronically are subject to standard bank processing times.

3. Tours operate all year round including during wet weather. Tours may be cancelled by Billabong Horseback Adventures at short notice if conditions are considered unsafe to the participant or our horses. Customers will be offered an alternate tour session in such instance, or a refund where re-booking is not available to the guest. Customers that are provided with a refund by Billabong Horseback Adventures in the event of a cancellation by us will not be charged any cancellation fees, and shall receive a refund in full. Please be aware though, that some tour agencies may charge a cancellation fee in this instance regardless, and it is wise to ask prior to confirming your booking with them.

4. A maximum customer weight restiction of 125kg applies for horse riding, and is subject to the availability of our heavy-set horses. Customers must advise of their weight in Kilograms upon making their booking. Customers that arrive for their tour, with a weight variance of more than 10% or are are in excess of the maximum weight restriction may not be permitted to ride, and nil refund will be provided. Customers must be aware that this condition is in the interest of the welfare of our horses, and the safe opeation of the tour.

5. Package tours are subject to change without notice particularly when changes occur with affiliate operators beyond our control. Customers will be advised of changes as soon as practical, however Billabong Horseback Adventures will not be responsible for changes to itineries, closures, or cancellations by third party or affiliated operators, that is beyond reasonable control of Billabong Horseback Adventures. Combo tour packages with helicopter flights or skydiving are subject to weather and pilot descretion. Passenger weights with variance of 10% may result in cancellation of flight. Helicopter passengers whom weigh 110kg or more are subject to a surcharge of AUD $70.00. This surcharge is payable directly to the helicopter operator upon checkin where weights will be confirmed.

6. In order to participate, customers must be dressed in appropriate attire consisting of at least: long pants / trousers, enclosed footwear such as sneakers or boots, and a shirt that covers your shoulders. We do have a limited variety of loan pants, and shoes available for hire at no additional charge. Although we do our very best to cater for various sizes we cannot guarantee that there will be an item to fit each individual. Riders whom do not present with correct attire, or unable to wear loan attire may not be permitted to ride in the interest of safety. Nil refunds will apply in such instance as the responsibility falls directly on the participant to wear the correct attire. All riders will be provided a riding helmet.

7. The prices that are indicated on our website, and our current brochures are inclusive of GST, and applicable taxes. Prices are subject to change without notice. Prices indicated are valid until 31/03/2013.

8. Children are catered from the age of 8yrs for all horse riding tours other than sunset tours where the minimum age requirement is 10yrs, unless the child has had significant previous riding experience. Child prices are up to and including 14yrs. Adult prices are charged for all participants 15yrs and above. Children must be accompanied by a responsible parent / guardian when participating. Children over 12yrs may participate unaccompanied.

9. Riders participate at their own risk, knowing that there are inherint risks involved with horse riding and ATV quad bike riding, that may cause injury or death. All riders must sign an 'acknowledgement of risk' & 'waiver of liability' form prior to commencing their tour. Participants under the age of 18yrs must have an adult present to complete these forms. Participants that do not sign this form will not be permitted to ride, and nil refund will be offered. Not at anytime does Billabong Horseback Adventures expect riders to participate if they feel uncomfortable, however you participants will forfeit their tour fee in such event as your ride will be considered a cancelled booking.

10. Cameras, and recording equipment may be taken with you on your tour, however you will not be permitted to use such equipment whist riding your allocated horse. Our horse riding guides will carefully transport your camera in a saddle bag and allow you to take photos at given points along the tour. Our guides are also happy to take photos of you on your horse. Any equipment taken on the tour is done so at the owners risk.

11. Customers that require courtesy transfers from their accommodation must advise upon making their booking. Customers unable to provide details for transfers at the time of booking must do so at least 24hrs prior to the tour date. Customers will be provided a pickup time that will be an approximate time within a 15 minute window. Customers whom are not ready any waiting for their pickup may miss their transfer and forfeit their tour. Customers choosing to make their own way to our establishment must be onsite between 45 - 30minutes prior to the designated tour departure time. late arrivals will not be waited for as the tour must depart on time to allow smoth flow of following tours. Late arrivals will forfeit their seating and in each instance refunds will not apply.

Horse Riding Lessons:

1. Pre booking of horse riding lessons is essential. Pre payment of your lesson is required to confirm your booking. Bookings can only be made via telephone, or via email. Exemptions to pre-payment applies where students have a bulk lesson card with valid credits remaining.

2. Customers choosing to cancel a lesson will be subject to our lessons cancellation policy. Any cancellations within 24hrs of the lesson will render a forfeiture of the payment made for that lesson, or a credit taken from their bulk lesson card whichever is applicable. Cancellations where the student is genuinely sick, or otherwise incapacitated to attend may render their lesson re-scheduled without penalty provided that a medical certificate can be provided to us.

3. Lessons are not refundable except where Billabong Horseback Adventures cancells your lesson on 3 consecutive instances. Pre paid bulk lesson cards are not refundable in any circumstance. Students with bulk lesson cards may transfer any remaining lessons to another student in whole only. Partial credit transfer is not permitted.

4. Lessons will continue to operate during mild & moderate wet weather. We do not accept customer cancellations due to wet weather unless we agree that the conditions are unsuitable to conduct a lesson safely. If you are unsure, please contact us prior to departing for your lesson as the weather are our location can be considerably different than coastal areas.

5. Billabong Horseback Adventures reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule a lesson at short notice subject to wet weather conditions where it is not suitable to conduct lessons. Students accept such cancellation as external event, that Billabong Horseback Adventures has no reasonable control over.

6. Students agree to comply with all required safety standard which include the wearing of approved helmets, and wearing correct riding attire. Students that present for lessons under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted to participate, and subsequently have their lesson cancelled without refund offered.

7. Students whom fail to attend their lesson will be considered as a cancelled lesson, and nil refund will be offered. Regular occurance of failing to attend for booked lessons will result in cancellation of enrollment.
